Graduates join wood surfboard workshop club

Happy surfer folk continue to build their own wooden surfboards in the wood surfboard workshops at Burnett Wood Surfboards, despite the The Covid pandemic.

I’ve hosted a number of workshops and some beautiful wooden surfboards have been made.

In a sense, with Covid doing its best to keep us human beings apart, I have appreciated seeing the process of someone building their own wooden surfboard all the more.

At the end of each workshop, I always ask if I can take a picture of the new wooden surfboard shaper and owner so I can add it to the gallery on the workshops page of this website. Here are some of the latest During Covid alumni.

Having been running these workshops since 2013 it gives me a warm feeling every time I scroll through them.
